Jerry Palmer is currently serving as Director of Missions for the Heartland Baptist Association located in Lawson Missouri, a postition he has held for 13 years. While he has been at Heartland, Jerry is serving as Chairman of Trustees, Executive Board Member at Grand Oaks Baptist Assembly; Advisory Board, Missouri DOM Fellowship; Webmaster for Grand Oaks Camp & Missouri DOM Fellowship and Certified State Stewardship Specialist.
Jerry previously served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lockwood Missouri; pastor of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, Missouri; pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Ash Grove, Missouri and pastor of the Pilot Grove Baptist Church near California, Missouri. Also, he has previously served on the Missouri Baptist Convention Executive Board, Continuing Review Committee and the Tellers Committee.
Jerry Palmer graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary - Kansas City, Missouri with a Doctor of Ministry on December 14, 2007. Jerry did about half of his Master of Divinity (47 Hours) at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Masters of Divinity from Midwestern Seminary - Kansas City, Missouri. Jerry's undergraduate work was at Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Missouri.
Jerry, his wonderful wife Linda and their son, David are actively involved in the Institute for Historic & Educational Arts. The Palmers demonstrate at the Jefferson City, Missouri Renaissance Festival and the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Jerry works in the Woodwright Shop, Linda works in the Fiber Arts Area and David builds custom armor.
Jerry is certified in Show-Me Faithful Stewardship Process, conflict mediation/resolution, various Strategy Planning Processes, Thy Kingdom Come Consultant; Next Level Leadership: Building Powerful Ministry Teams, Supervision Training Level 1 & 2, Basic Disaster Relief Training, Situational Leadership Training and the Building For Tomorrow Capital Fund-raising.
